working with Project Managers and Field Engineers, configure and activate site deployments to customer requirements and Glide network standards
decommission old sites and repatriate old IP addresses back into the pool
work with Product on delivering proof of concept sites
mentor and support junior Engineers
own TAC cases and manage vendors to ensure a timely resolution
provide 3rd line support and work on INC’s in the TechOps queue when not on project work. Work with customers and vendors in doing so
the role holder will be required to take part in an on-call rota during busy times of the year

working in Telco/ISPs
experience of managing LAN routing and switching
working in MSP
experience deploying and supporting wireless solutions
network Consultancy
experience of passive optical configurations
understanding of patch management and security considerations
CCNP qualification preferred, or as an alternative at least 5 years’ experience working within large MSP/ISP scaling infrastructure across multiple vendor technologies
