senior engineer

Responsibility

  • automate deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes using GCP-native tools and technologies
  • collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and observability on GCP
  • stay up to date with developments in the open-source community around data engineering, data science, and similar tooling
  • implement and enforce Service Level Objectives and Error Budgets to ensure a balance between reliability and feature development
  • develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and alerting platform to detect and resolve issues proactively
  • spot opportunities to test out new tooling for internal use cases, as well as opportunities to contribute back to the community
  • collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and implement necessary controls
  • provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the organization

Requirements

  • bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
  • 5 plus years of cloud experience
  • experience with common distributed data tools in a production setting
  • 5 plus years of experience with Java, Python, Scala
  • 5 plus years of experience with tools like Jira and Confluence
  • experience with specialized data architecture
  • experience with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure and GCP
  • experience with search/indexing systems

engineer

Requirements

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in computer science, applied math, statistics, physics, systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field
  • extensive experience in Python programming and knowledge in machine learning and statistics
  • demonstrated proficiency working with biological/healthcare data in an academic or professional setting
  • familiarity with at least one Deep Learning framework such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch
  • proven ability to solve complex problems using creative approaches, state-of-the-art tools, and best engineering practices
  • ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively on complex projects
