laboratory technician
Responsibility
- ensure that all fabrics, components and trims meet agreed internal quality standards
- management of all external test providers ensuring that results arrive within agreed timescales
- garment sample management, including, chasing manufacturers to keep to the critical path, sample measuring and garment storage organisation
- maintain an up-to-date shade standard library ensuring continuity of colour standards
- maintain a central Fabric Library to be used as a resource by the Product Development Team
- work with our QC team to help resolve bulk production issues relating to fabrics, components or trims
- communicate Gill quality standards to suppliers and deliver required standards
- create and maintain garment component files, ensuring that suppliers submit components for testing at development and bulk stages during the Product Development Critical Path
