quality inspector
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- inspect and validate manufactured parts
- perform shopfloor process audits
- proficient with inspection equipment and tools including CMM, Wenzel gear checking, Zeiss con trace, Tesa
- assist with CI and lean activities within the Quality Inspection department - 5S
- complete ISIR, FAIR’s and in process first off and final inspections
- communicate with customers Quality Departments by phone and email
- assist in maintaining calibration system
- attend Quality meetings
Requirements
- minimum of 3 years as a Quality Inspector or equivalent experience
- gear and transmission knowledge an advantage but not critical - training given
- demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and manage in a fast-paced environment
- familiarity with various Inspection methods, Coordinate Measuring Machines, NDT processes, heat treatment
- working knowledge of applicable manufacturing and Quality requirements including ISO 9001, AS 9100
- proficient in the use of personal computers, blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and application of SPC to the manufacturing process
- excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and some understanding of Aerospace requirements
- inspection CMM programme experience desirable
