I'm Nick.Geraghty
I've just come across your group site of Geraghty's & thought I'd like to make contact,. If that's appropriate. If not please feel free to delate.

I have researched my Geraghty /MagOireachataig heritage & spent some time in Ireland over the years researching my ancestry & subsequently wrote a book entitled "The Celtic Fringe"
It was very much a challenge but I eventually tracked down Geraghty relatives & other extended family members.
My great grandfather Patrick Geraghty was from the borders of. Co's Mayo, Galway & Roscommon.
His son Thomas Geraghty left Ireland & came to England. I never met them as they had passs away before I was born.
My farther was fond of his heritage but didn't persue it.
I subsequently traced the very bulk of the Geraghty's who left &. settled in Chicago.
I'm in contact with them.
I eventually wrote up my findings & published a book based upon my discoveries & the entitled "The Celtic Fringe" a few. years ago.
No pressure what-so-ever, but should this be of interest it is still available on Amazon Books.
