Responsibility

  • working as part of the service team, maintaining and repairing our Hire Fleet and customers Generators
  • provide support to both the service team and office team within the company
  • carry out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are clean and tidy
  • delivery and collection of generators and associated items to hire contracts
  • be a part of the On Call Rota to provide back up for our customers 24/7 - 365
  • undertake minor and major services/repairs of our equipment in the depot and prepare equipment for hire contracts. Load tesing will be carried out to ensure effectiveness of equipment

Requirements

  • experience as a Diesel Generator Technician with proven work experience in maintenance/repair of Diesel Generators
  • other mechanical backgrounds will be considered i.e Plant/HGV
  • general fabrication/welding skills
  • forklift tickets
  • proficient in using power tools and other equipment
  • HGV Class 1 or 2
  • familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibility

  • process hire orders accurately via ‘OnRent’, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed efficiently
  • generate hire agreements and invoices, and process payments accurately
  • coordinate logistics for generator deliveries and pickups, liaising with the team to ensure timely and smooth operations
  • maintain an up-to-date and organised hire schedule, tracking availability and ensuring hires are properly managed
  • handle client concerns or issues in a professional manner, working with the team to seek resolutions
  • act as the primary point of contact for clients enquiring about generators hires, providing prompt replies to enquiries via phone, email, or in-person
  • deputise for the Owner/ Director in their occasional absence
  • assist clients in selecting the most suitable generators for their needs, offering expert advice and recommendations, and liaising with experienced colleagues as required

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years administration experience from a fast-paced environment
  • experience of working in a hire/ rental environment
  • experience of working independently and making decisions
  • experience of using ‘On rent’ software
  • excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, to interact with clients and team members effectively
  • first aid qualification
  • excellent client service skills, with experience dealing directly with customers/ clients
  • you will be integral in providing a high level of service to their valued clients
