Responsibility
understand the customer’s business needs and objectives to design a suitable solution
identify potential customers and develop relationships to drive new sales
support lead generation
build and manage opportunity pipelines and targets
prepare and deliver quotes and proposals for customers
ability to negotiate and close sales
co-ordinate internal project handover meetings to facilitate a smooth transition of new orders from sales to project management
maintain customer relationships
Requirements
some understanding and experience of manufacturing / technical processes would be helpful but not essential
visits to the head office in Atherstone will be required on occasion for sales, management and strategy meetings
excellent verbal and written communication skills
strong attention to detail
this will be a customer facing role so being confident and a strong communicator with some commercial experience is essential. Being comfortable negotiating with all management levels
the role involves travel to customer sites so a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. The role at times will also require overnight hotel stays so must be willing to stay away from home as and when required
