- about the Role
- you’ll manage a small team of security engineers based in both Cambridge and Amsterdam
- in this exciting role, you’ll drive the development and implementation of a strategy to manage information security risk across the GÉANT Association, establishing baseline levels of information security practice and moving us to the next level in our security maturity model
- about the Candidate
- at GÉANT we enable research, education, science and innovation across the globe via our high-speed data communications networks and secure access technologies
- as Information Security Manager, you will be responsible for creating and promoting policy on internal security, working with GÉANT’s leadership team to develop and implement information security objectives, and providing leadership and guidance as an expert on information security
- people management experience is essential although this could be as a Team Leader or experienced mentor
- CSSIP or CISM certification is highly desirable
Requirements
- in-depth technical expertise of utilising security technologies to support the organisation’s security policies
- in depth knowledge of designing and managing an ISMS and associated security policies and processes
- strong understanding of security trends and technologies
- ability to explain technical concepts in a language and at a level appropriate to the audience
- hybrid working is available for this role, with at least two days spent in the office each week
