Responsibility
- experience of working in a commercial vehicle maintenance business is essential
- to ensure that the health & safety quality and environmental policies and objectives are adhered to, and the workshops are safe
- we currently have a vacancy for an individual with a proven track record of working within a HGV maintenance & servicing related role within the vehicle transport sector
- to identify any training needs of the workshop staff and facilitate on or off the job training as required
- the applicant should be able to demonstrate an excellent technical knowledge of working with commercial vehicles and controlling key areas such as service compliance and scheduling, to a very high standard and delivering success
- plan and manage legal compliance events including MOT, servicing & inspections
- to plan work, prepare schedules, and allocate work
- co-ordinate day to day activities to ensure the safe efficient and effective use of staff, workshop and facilities and equipment including supervision of workshop staff to execute their duties

Requirements
- 5 years’ experience within HGV workshop at a supervisory level
- level 3 HGV technician qualification is desirable
- ability to work under own initiative
- positive ‘can do’ attitude
- experience in the planning and technical aspects of commercial vehicle events
- strong communication and people management skills
- HGV Workshop Supervisory: 3 years
- ability to implement and enhance processes
