- ensure the Christian ethos of the centre is respected by all staff
- to have the service manager as line manager and be accountable to them
- to clinically assess those seeking counselling and to assign clients appropriately
- to hold responsibility for safeguarding and risk issues
- to be active in the recruitment and co-ordination of voluntary staff including counsellors and welcomers
- to provide induction and informal training for new voluntary staff
- to promote community and support for all volunteers
- to manage, mentor and support students in placement
