- design and load rating of simple and / or continuous span steel bridges
- design of retaining wall and sign support structures
- bridge repair / rehabilitation design
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET program
- registered as a Professional Engineer
- strong communication skills
- master’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program with structural emphasis
- strong working knowledge of MS Office
- familiarity with the American Association of Highway and Transportation Officials Bridge Design Specifications is desired
- design and detailing experience with prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, and structural steel
- experience in planning and design for bridges
