Responsibility

  • due to expansion of our Children's Residential Care Home provision, we are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team
  • located in the outskirts of Doncaster
  • this is a wonderful opportunity for those looking for a company that values their staff as much as the young people they care for
  • successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and satisfactory references, prior to commencement of employment
  • as a Deputy Manager, Safeguarding will echo through everything you do. It will be your priority to safeguard and promote the welfare of the young people and be aware of relevant policies and procedures, especially the safeguarding policy
  • the home provides therapeutic informed care and support for Children and Young People who have Emotional Behavioral Difficulties . We have access to an on-site therapist that delivers DDP & Pace training to help us achieve this
  • we endeavor to create a homely environment that meets the needs of the Children and Young People, enabling them to feel safe, secure and enrich their lives
  • as a Deputy Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond and be driven to ensure that the Children and Young People have a childhood filled with fun, laughter and friendships

Requirements

  • willingness & ability to obtain &/or enhance qualifications &/or training for development in this post
  • completed Level 3 in care of children and young people
  • full Driving License
  • experience of direct work with children
  • experience of supervising staff
  • A good working knowledge of children’s residential services best practice, legislation and regulation, policies and procedures
  • written and verbal fluency
  • racial and cultural awareness, an appreciation of group dynamics
