Responsibility
- perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning according to breed specifications and customer preferences
- assess the health and condition of pets' coats, skin, ears, and teeth and report any abnormalities to pet owners or veterinarians
- handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the grooming process
- maintain a clean and organised grooming area, including equipment sanitisation and disinfection
- communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations based on breed standards and current trends
- manage appointment scheduling, walk-in clients, and client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- stay updated on industry trends, grooming techniques, and pet care products to provide the highest level of service to our clients
- collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient grooming experience for pets and their owners
Requirements
- proven experience as a Dog Groomer, preferably in a professional grooming salon or similar setting
- knowledge of different dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
- ability to safely handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high grooming standards
- flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- certification from a recognised grooming school or equivalent experience is preferred
