Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- MIG welding, fabrication and development on bespoke steel fabrications in a heavy engineering environment
- using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery
- working from engineering drawings & specifications
- expert level of building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings
- welding to a high quality
- measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling
- we are a very well established and successful fabrication company specialising in medium/heavy fabrications, established for over 45 years and accredited to ISO9001, BS EN 1090-2 Exc 3 and BS EN3834-2
- adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- confident plater or fabricator
- ideally apprentice trained or relevant qualifications
- confident MIG Welder
- experience operating fabrication machinery
- must have worked within a heavy steel industry
- confident working from engineering drawings from scratch
- welding: 5 years
- fabricating/Plating: 5 years
