- dealing with customers queries/enquiries via telephone/email
- calculate and advise rates to customers
- provide customers with quotes as requested/required
- deal with invoice and price disputes
- develop and grow long term relationships with customers and suppliers
- carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business within your capability
Requirements
- at least 9 months in a Freight Forwarding role either operational or internal/external sales
- networking and undertaking research, where necessary, to keep ahead of competition
- persuading customers our high service levels will satisfy their requirements in terms of quality, service and price
- interpreting and managing customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet there needs
- ensuring that professional standards of appearance, manner, discipline and work are maintained within the office
- organise team meeting agendas/minutes and participate in chairing meetings on a rota basis
