Responsibility

  • process supplier invoices, accurately matching, checking and coding
  • ensure all invoices are authorised in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • respond to supplier queries and resolve any issues
  • maintain accurate records of all transactions
  • liaise with colleagues in different departments to ensure that invoices are prioritised and processed accordingly
  • carry out month-end and year-end reconciliations
  • daily banking functions including bank reconciliations

Requirements

  • previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role is desirable
  • knowledge of accountancy systems such as Pegasus Opera or Xero
  • the ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A relevant financial or accounting qualification is desirable
