Responsibility

  • conduct routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements

Requirements

  • experience working as a vehicle technician/mechanic in a similar role preferred
  • knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
  • knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and methods
  • experience using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair issues
  • good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • overtime and bonus available. Hourly rate negotiable for the right candidate
  • strip and fit of damaged vehicles
  • new panel alignment
  • repairing damaged metal and plastics using the latest equipment
  • applying body fillers
  • paid holidays and pension scheme available
  • 5+ years experience required. Qualifications preferred are NVQ / VCQ level 3 or ATA senior required. Although not essential

Responsibility

  • prepare panels for painting and carefully mask surrounding areas to prevent overspray
  • spray paint vehicles using spray booths, ensuring work meets BS 10125 standards and manufacturer requirements
  • maintain spray guns, spray booths, and associated equipment
  • operate spray booths safely, maintaining correct pressure and temperature
  • replace spray booth filters and maintain air intakes to ensure negative pressure standards are upheld
  • wear and maintain correct PPE, including gloves, eye protection, and air-fed breathing apparatus
  • participate in regular health and safety checks and surveillance programmes
  • maintain excellent housekeeping, including safe disposal of paint, lacquer, and thinners

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Paint Technician, preferably within an accident repair or bodyshop environment
  • strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
  • team player with strong communication skills
  • commitment to health and safety compliance
  • full UK driving licence
  • painting: 3 years
