• autoCAD 2D & 3D Designer - Junior
• creating 2D &3D models, engineering drawings, parts lists and layouts
• apply 2D & 3D CAD modelling techniques to complex designs and assignments

• provide design solutions for our projects with guidance from production personnel
• using AutoCAD in conjunction with various CNC programs, enabling the production of sheet metal laser-cut components and CNC tube-formed parts
• apply knowledge of relevant production principles to complement the design process
• compile technical documentation such as user manuals, spec sheets and work instructions
• junior CAD 2D & 3D Designer required for the design and drawing of our material handling equipment and any bespoke projects or requirements from time to time, as part of the UK’s leading material handling equipment manufacturer
• we design, fabricate, paint, assemble and deliver our equipment from our own facility, so you’ll see your own designs being fabricated right through your office window – and watch the finished products rolling out through our gates on a daily basis
• you’ll create engineering drawings to aid our Production team in welding and fabricating material handling equipment, with opportunity to hone your design experience
• we’ll train you in various software packages for the programming of laser-cutting and tube-bending machines and provide as much guidance as you need to build your career in 2D & 3D design

Requirements

• 2D & 3D CAD experience
• HNC/HND qualification in a related discipline
• degree qualification in an engineering/design-related subject is an advantage but not essential

Earnings for position design engineer

Responsibility

• the role is primarily required to produce finishing weld runs on fabricated assemblies
• scheduled test pieces will be completed and examined by a third party to ensure welding meets standard requirements and welder approvals can be maintained via employer and external validation
• to produce company products to the required standard and quality as defined by drawings, written instructions and direction from supervisor

Requirements

• ability to read understand and produce work to general engineering drawings
• experience in the use of general engineering equipment
• ability to perform and honestly monitor/inspect throughput and refer work for concession/remedial work to supervision if required

• capture supplier invoices onto accounting system
• capture the daily bank transactions for Purchase Ledger

• maintain over deliveries schedule
• dealing with supplier queries via email and telephone; resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
• set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
• payment of weekly Proformas and ad hoc suppliers
• complete monthly statement reconciliations for all suppliers
• submit and pay monthly supplier payment runs with full supplier reconciliations packs
• any other adhoc duties as and when required
