Responsibility
- prepare construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring the area is safe for work
- assist in the excavation of trenches and foundations as per project specifications
- lay and compact materials such as gravel, asphalt, or concrete
- support the installation of drainage systems and utilities
- operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently
- follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- collaborate with team members to complete tasks on time and to high standards
- maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
Requirements
- previous experience in groundworks or construction is advantageous but not essential
- familiarity with operating basic construction tools and machinery is preferred
- ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
- strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and supervisors
- A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate
