Responsibility
- prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- adhere to all sanitation and food safety guidelines
- maintain a clean and organised work area
- follow proper food handling procedures and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- we have a part-time cook position for 12 hours a week that has become available in our small friendly care home in West Moors
- this role involves preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch for 12 elderly residents. The successful candidate will be in charge of the kitchen on their shift and can contribute to menu ideas
- 12 hours a week total. Opportunity for overtime
Requirements
- previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is preferred but not essential as training will be given
- some knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- strong organisational skills
- excellent communication and teamwork abilities
