Responsibility

  • safely operate a 7.5-tonne delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
  • load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
  • plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
  • verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
  • communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns

Requirements

  • valid driver's license with a 7.5-tonne category entitlement
  • previous experience as a delivery driver preferred
  • good knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
  • excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • physical fitness for loading and unloading heavy items
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • strong communication and customer service skills
