Requirements
- degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
- knowledge of accounts payable procedures and processes
- excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- knowledge of accounting software packages, such as Sage or Oracle, is desirable
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Responsibility
- process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
- maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all invoices and payments
- monitor and reconcile supplier statements, ensuring any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
- assist in the preparation of payment runs, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with supplier terms
- liaise with internal departments and suppliers to resolve queries and issues in a timely and professional manner
- reconcile credit card statements and staff expense forms against relevant receipts
- maintain accurate filing systems and provide support for audits and other financial reviews
- assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all supplier accounts are accurately reconciled and any outstanding issues are resolved
