Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • there will be occasions when you will be required to undertake other workshop tasks depending on the needs of the business
  • this could involve assisting our assembly workshop, loading lorries etc
  • there could also be an opportunity to train for a forklift licence
  • this role requires you to operate & assist with programming & maintenance of flat bed CNC machining centres along with the safe operation of traditional wood working machinery such as panel saws, spindle moulders, planers etc
  • for the right candidate there are various routes for career progression within First Manufacturing and we encourage ongoing personal training and development

Requirements

  • engagement and adherence to H&S in the workplace
  • CNC operator/wood machinist qualification or time served equivalent
  • some experience in the use of traditional woodworking machinery
  • CNC programming software training in either AlphaCam or alternative woodworking CNC programming package
  • good knowledge of windows OS
  • genuine interest in woodwork production & machinery
  • A focus on quality
  • ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
