Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- deputising for the Manager as and when required
- monitor and evaluate clear Child protection procedures within the home, in line with the Protection of Children Act and Company Policies
- assist with staff development and training
- actively promote and support safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace
- ensure full compliance with all regulatory bodies, including Ofsted, Fire Authority, Health and Safety Executive and Environmental Health
- act 1974
- ensure the home complies with legal and regulatory requirements, including the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards for Children’s Homes, Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018, Data Protection Act 2018, and Health and Safety at Work, etc
Requirements
- level 3 Diploma in residential childcare or equivalent
- level 5 Diploma in leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent
- 1 year experience Experience of working effectively with young people with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
- knowledge and working experience of Ofsted regulations and legislation
- enhanced DBS registered on the update service
- full UK driving licence
