Requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety, or equivalent qualification
- IOSH Qualification
- thorough knowledge of H&S legislation and HSE Guidance
- knowledge of Environmental Legislation
- understanding of ISO standards
- excellent level of attention to detail and passion to make safety top of the agenda
- capability to work as part of a team and/or on own initiative and under pressure
- good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibility
- chair regular Health and Safety meetings and ensure minutes are documented
- you will also be accountable for all measurement, management and implementation of our Health, Safety and Environmental policies
- carry out Risk Assessments, including COSHH assessments
- engage with all staff to create a positive Health and Safety culture
- as the COTC Monitor environmental legislation to ensure all systems and practices remain up-to-date and ensure NRW permit compliance
- to support the development of a strong Health and Safety focused culture across the Company and promote good safety behaviours
