Requirements
ideally to have experience in an elderly care environment but not essential as training will be given
to hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or higher
to have a knowledge of Food agency inspectors and the inspection process
to have a knowledge of HACCP principles and SFBB
to be willing to participate in National Vocational Training Programmes if necessary
to have good communication skills
to have the ability to work effectively within a team environment
Responsibility
to ensure that fresh cake is prepared for a residents’ birthday or any other occasions as requested
to attend staff meetings and training when it’s required
ACCOUNTABLE TO: The Registered Manager
to participate in the Induction of staff
to ensure that you work in a safe environment in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act
to ensure all frozen foods are taken out of the freezer giving ample time to defrost
to ensure that all information of a confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties
to comply with all COSHH and Health & Safety requirements and to ensure implementation of all Policies and Procedures throughout the home, including PPE and Fire
