Responsibility
- food Preparation
- prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals
- provide for special dietary requirements where necessary and take into account preferences of individual clients
- report immediately to the Home manager, or person in charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a resident, colleague , self or another
- attend all mandatory training courses on or off site when required
- participate in staff meetings as and when required
- ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area is carried out effectively
Requirements
- ability to communicate effectively at all times and at all level
- experience of food preparation for the relevant Client group
- genuine interest in working with the relevant client group
- food Hygiene Certificate
- satisfactory disclosure Scotland check
- basic food Hygiene certificate
- ability to work on own initiative
- two references
