A Site Assistant’s role is to maintain the buildings and grounds of the School to a high standard and ensure a safe environment in which pupils and staff can work
the post holder reports directly to the Site Manager and will be required to work closely with the rest of the Site Team
assisting with set-ups and clearing up after functions
dealing with/clearing up of spillages as required
reporting areas of damage or safety issues to the Site Manager
participating in Performance Management and Appraisal & Review arrangements
participating in in-service training as appropriate for professional development

deliver cover lessons, ensuring that pupils are focused and on track to meet the lesson objectives
maintain a high standard of classroom management and pupil behaviour during lessons and study periods
take an attendance register each covered period, reporting any absence and lack of punctuality immediately
uphold the Ewell Castle School Behaviour for Learning policy and ensure appropriate use of rewards and sanctions
provide feedback to absent teachers regarding material covered by their pupils during covered lessons
undertake playground and lunchtime duties for absent colleagues
liaise with Senior School Deputy Head /Deputy Head to collect and print or collate resources for covered lessons in good time
to participate fully in the School’s performance management and appraisal system
