Responsibility
- follow standard operating procedures to functionalise prototype chips for internal development
- accurately and reliably making up solutions of buffers and other reagents to specified recipe

- follow SOP to run automated DNA synthesizer prototypes
- generating, recording, and reporting analytical data in line with departmental procedures
- conducting equipment calibration, priming, verification, and regular checks
- lab management tasks including consumable stock management, ordering, batch tracking

Requirements
- experience of operating in an academic or industrial chemistry laboratory
- qualification in Chemistry, ideally to degree level or similar
- qualification in Chemistry, ideally to degree level or with extensive practical experience
- good knowledge of laboratory health and safety requirements for safe handling of chemical reagents
- meticulous and detail orientated
- meticulous and detail-orientated
- good understanding of standard chemistry lab equipment
- experience with or ability to learn how to use electronic notebooks, sample management systems, ordering systems etc
