Responsibility

  • provide support and physical assistance to the servive user
  • assist with personal care as instructed by the service user in a sensitive and dignified manner
  • maintain the domestic environment to the required standard, ensuring regard is given to health and safety and hygiene
  • if required, assist in the preparation of meals
  • if required, under my direction, supervise and/or assist in the administration of prescribed medication
  • support the service user out into the community for social activities if he wishes to do so
  • ensure the safety and well-being of the individual at all times

Requirements

  • previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • compassionate and patient demeanor
