Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • some days can be clean and easy while others can be somewhat dirty and challenging
  • we run a mixture of specialist trailers including power steered extendable flats and semi low loaders as well as rear steer urban trailers and a euroliner. All vehicles are well spec'd with the drivers comfort in mind
  • we are looking for a Class 1 driver to operate one of our new vehicles
  • the work is varied, we mostly do rail deliveries but also move plant, Steelwork, glass, transformers, cable drums etc, some of these loads are long/wide/STGO CAT 1/2
  • the ideal candidate must be able to think for themselves but also work well as a team and have a can do attitude, We pride ourselves on our reliability so being punctual and presentable is a must
  • experience with the above work is preferred however we can, and do provide familiarisation and training for all our kit if this isn't the case
  • this isn't a 9-5 job, there will be early starts/late finishes and the odd night out, but will generally be home 95% of the time, we guarantee 50 hours Monday to Friday, with any weekend work being in overtime
