Responsibility
understand the strategic goals of the company, aligning team processes to contribute to overall success
monitor and meet sales and onboarding KPIs, in particular trial conversion and churn rates, addressing any issues as they arise
have responsibility for continuity and succession planning
keep up to date with planned product developments and strategic directions
take escalations of more complex queries and difficult calls, resolving customer complaints where possible and supporting your team
have accountability for overall team performance: managing workload, staff development, team well-being and effectiveness
understand how the sales team integrates with the rest of the company, liaising with and being the point of contact for other teams
there is scope to potentially develop the team to encompass further sales functions, particularly around lead generation – for example, via outbound and inbound marketing, conferences and trade shows
