  • music to nuture the talents of all pupils and abilities through inspirational coaching and teaching
  • the successful candidate will be able to teach piano to pupils of all abilities
  • epsom College is a vibrant co-educational day and boarding school set in a beautiful and well-resourced 80 acre campus below the Epsom Downs
  • at the start of this academic year there is currently a surplus of 3-4 hours of teaching available
  • we anticipate that more teaching will be on offer at the start of the following academic year, if not before
  • the school continues on its upward trajectory and we are looking to recruit a temporary Visiting Music Teacher to join the busy and successful Music Department

Requirements

  • carry out the administrative procedures of the Department
  • prepare appropriate pupils for Music Exams
  • where appropriate, and in consultation with the Director of Music, organise, promote, rehearse, direct and perform with ensembles
  • assess, record and report as required on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
  • promote the general progress and well-being of any pupil they teach
  • teach pupils, ranging from complete beginners to those of a high standard, the technique and musicianship required to play an appropriate musical instrument, offering encouragement, support and guidance as necessary
  • prepare pupils for concerts, festivals and competitions and encourage pupils to take the available opportunities to develop all aspects of their musicianship
  • attend planning meetings and training prior to the start of each academic year
