Responsibility
- perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
- conduct research and development activities to create and optimise materials for specific applications, with a focus on metals and alloys
- diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions
- perform material characterisation and testing using a variety of techniques
- conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime
- design and execute experiments to investigate material properties, performance, and behaviour under different conditions
- respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality
- analyse experimental data and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for material improvement
Requirements
- proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment
- bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field
