  • window fitter

Responsibility

  • measure and cut window frames to fit specific dimensions
  • install windows, ensuring they are properly sealed and secure
  • repair or replace damaged windows as needed
  • collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, to complete projects efficiently
  • read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements
  • use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations
  • maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the installation process
  • provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns regarding window fittings

Requirements

  • proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to window fitting
  • experience in welding, carpentry, painting, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, and plastering is advantageous
  • ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately
  • strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation issues effectively
  • excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
  • A proactive approach to health and safety regulations on-site
