Responsibility
- carry out 6 weekly inspections and routine servicing to all types of HGVs and trailers to DVSA standard
- fault diagnosis using latest diagnostic equipment
- prepare vehicles for MOT and carry out required repairs
- accurate record keeping and completion of all relevant paperwork
- use power tools and specialised equipment to perform repairs
- work with other team members to enable efficient job completion
- maintain a clean and organized work area and show awareness of health and safety requirements in the workplace
Requirements
- ideally NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance
- previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
- strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- driving licence with a clean driving record. HGV not essential
