Responsibility
- the post holder is employed by Elm Tree House to work primarily, but not exclusively with clients living in the home. The post-holder may on occasion be required to work within the residential unit as and when requested by the home manager
- responsible to the home manager, under the supervision of the team leader, the post-holder will provide a variety of help to clients in their own home dependant on their physical and emotional needs
- the post-holder must be familiar with the aims and objectives of the home at which they are employed and should ensure that their practice accords with these principles
- domestic duties, cooking, cleaning, laundering and other general household maintenance tasks
- to over see and prompt washing, shaving, bathing, and toilet needs
- undertake any responsible duties within the client’s home which would normally be done by the client or a competent relative, with regard to the clients wishes and to an agreed assessment but where necessary responding with initiative to unusual circumstances
- examples of the work to be carried out are as follows
- maintains work records e.g., work sheets, receipts etc
