Responsibility

  • work closely with clients to understand and fulfil their requirements, ensuring complete satisfaction with the finished product
  • measure work areas accurately to estimate time and materials needed for each project
  • prepare surfaces meticulously, including covering fixtures and furniture to prevent any mess
  • assess painting surfaces, remove old paint, fill holes and cracks, and wash walls to ensure a smooth and clean foundation
  • select appropriate tools and materials for each job, demonstrating proficiency in their use
  • mix and match paints and colours to achieve the desired texture and appearance
  • apply paint, varnish, and other finishes with precision, including hanging wallpapers and decorative products
  • clean and maintain painting tools and supplies, ensuring they are in optimal condition for future use

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Painter & Ames Taper, or in a similar role in drywall finishing and painting
  • proven experience as a painter, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise
  • strong understanding of drywall installation, finishing, and painting techniques
  • proficiency in surface preparation techniques, colour matching, and application of various finishes
  • proficient in using taping tools, painting tools, and equipment, including taping knives, hawks, sanders, brushes, and rollers
  • excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior results

  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
