- install speaker cables and systems designed for lockdown and emergency communication in educational institutions
- plan and install PVC containment to house and protect cabling infrastructure
- pull, terminate, and test data cables
- ensure all installations are carried out in accordance with industry regulations and project specifications
- work closely with project managers to ensure timely completion of installations
- maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness on site
- conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics of installed systems, ensuring proper operation and reliability
- prepare and maintain accurate records of installations and handovers
Requirements
- proven experience in data cabling installations, including speaker cabling and structured cabling systems
- proficiency in installing PVC containment, with a focus on neatness and durability
- experience working in public environments such as schools, universities, or colleges is preferred
- knowledge of emergency communication systems and AV integration is an advantage
- understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to cabling and containment in educational environments
- strong technical skills in cabling and containment installation
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and project specifications
- excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
