Responsibility
- general maintenance of all areas
- maintenance of garden and patio areas
- cutting of grass and general tidy of communal sitting areas, including potting and shrubs
- decorating bedrooms/shared areas/corridors such as painting/wallpapering etc
- basic plumbing work
- completing home checks/fire checks/water checks
- health and Safety checks throughout the home
- maintaining gardens and general upkeep of the building
Requirements
- prior experience working in a similar role
- prior experience working in a similar role in a care/nursing home would be ideal
- relevant Health and Safety qualifications would be desirable
- good Health and Safety awareness
- basic plumbing skills required
- basic carpentry skills required
- must be able to drive
- must be willing to work outside of working hours to suit the needs of the home and in emergency situations
