Responsibility

  • working with the staff collectively to help the children develop and remain on the daily schedule
  • supporting the student's social and emotional development
  • helping the student learn self-regulation techniques, though a lot of guidance and support will be required
  • keeping the children engaged
  • developing a relationship with the students and their caregivers
  • working with challenging behaviour

Requirements

  • at least 6 months of experience in an education-based role
  • A flexible and resourceful approach
  • strong communication and can showcase empathy
  • you will be able to demonstrate positive reinforcement
  • strong behaviour management skills
  • experience in THRIVE or Team Teach
  • have a right to work in the UK
  • two recent child-based references and relevant DBS/Police checks
