Responsibility
- we are looking for a data engineer to join our team full-time in London
- the organisations we work with have a wide range of needs, and differing levels of technical sophistication
- our consulting business focusses on both the delivery of one-off projects to meet clients’ needs, and the development of repeatable propositions to take to market
- we have a growing set of projects requiring cloud computing, Azure and data engineering skills, enabling us to provide end-to-end solutions for our clients as well as revolutionising the way we work with data through the use of cloud computing
- we are searching for someone to join our company to support the delivery of our consulting and product work from both a data engineering and analytical perspectives
- due to the diverse nature of our offering, our ideal candidate would see themselves working in both analytical and engineering settings but with a strong interest in data engineering
- business development: Supporting the wider growth of the Edge engineering capability, through development of marketing material, team training and development
- we are committed to delivering work which brings the maximum benefit to our clients, patients, and the NHS, and doing this requires flexibility in the analytical approach we bring to each problem and an innovative mindset to use the best tools to get there
Requirements
- we greatly value diversity and would welcome applicants from a range of academic and professional backgrounds
- experience or familiarity with modern data engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Apache Spark and Git
- have a knowledge and experience working with data, preferably with strong skills in SQL, R or Python
- passion for working in healthcare or life sciences, and preferably some experience of having done so
- experience working with cloud computing infrastructure and data platforms or a desire to learn is a plus
- be highly motivated, self-driven and versatile, and excited to work within a small and growing team
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment, across a diverse range of areas
- enthusiasm for working closely with our clients and partner organisations as well as with other members of the Edge team
