Requirements
- proven experience of working in a purchasing/procurement role within the manufacturing sector
- previous procurement or commercial experience, ideally gained in the construction/civils industry
- previous procurement experience in a regulated environment, such as public sector
- strong track record in savings delivery and performance optimisation
- familiarity with standard contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC would be advantageous but isn't essential
- either previous people management/leadership experience or able to demonstrate the required skills and characteristics to manage a small team
- experience of running tender processes under OJEU/FTS guidlines
- able to build rapport and develop excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers alike
