Responsibility
- develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a programme of training and development
- provide regular supervision and annual appraisal to Support Workers in line with Company procedures and standards
- you will be managing the referral process with the support of the Business Admin
- to ensure good quality working relationships are built and maintained between staff and the individuals they are supporting
- responsible for developing Shift rotas for our residential support workers
- ensure a range of meetings take place to include weekly residents and Team meetings and fortnightly staff meetings
- writing residential assessments, pathway plans and other competent reports to professionals as necessary
- to ensure the recruitment and retention of staff with a positive value base and person-centred approach
Requirements
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods
- excellent written skills for writing reports
- A passion for working with people and providing person-centred care
- having a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare will be an advantage
- leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others
- the capacity to work under pressure and to take a problem-solving approach to work
- you must have worked for at least one year in a role requiring supervision and management
- effective organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise your own and others workload
