Responsibility

  • develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a programme of training and development
  • provide regular supervision and annual appraisal to Support Workers in line with Company procedures and standards
  • you will be managing the referral process with the support of the Business Admin
  • to ensure good quality working relationships are built and maintained between staff and the individuals they are supporting
  • responsible for developing Shift rotas for our residential support workers
  • ensure a range of meetings take place to include weekly residents and Team meetings and fortnightly staff meetings
  • writing residential assessments, pathway plans and other competent reports to professionals as necessary
  • to ensure the recruitment and retention of staff with a positive value base and person-centred approach

Requirements

  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods
  • excellent written skills for writing reports
  • A passion for working with people and providing person-centred care
  • having a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare will be an advantage
  • leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others
  • the capacity to work under pressure and to take a problem-solving approach to work
  • you must have worked for at least one year in a role requiring supervision and management
  • effective organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise your own and others workload
