Responsibility

  • the role is full-time, working 40 hours per week on a fixed term 12 month contract
  • the Eaton Estate is recruiting for a Gardener to join its Borders team on a fixed term 12 month contract, working full time for 40 hours per week
  • the position requires a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to maintain, upkeep and contribute towards the development of the Gardens to the highest possible standards
  • you will have responsibilities to carry out an agreed annual programme of work in order to maintain the borders whilst carrying out tasks such as planting, weeding, pruning, staking, feeding and spraying
  • the successful candidate will support the team with weekend watering duties on a rota basis and enjoy a variety of learning opportunities with our experienced and talented team members
  • with experience of horticultural techniques, you will possess a minimum qualification of RHS Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent, whilst being proficient in operating garden machinery
  • personal qualities include a willingness to learn and work alongside others in our Gardens team, a ‘can do attitude’ and the ability to work flexibly in line with the needs of the gardens and Grosvenor family
