Responsibility

  • we require an experienced Chef / Cook for our highly regarded and quality driven elderly care home in North Berwick
  • ideally you will hold a current HACCP qualification and have experience of developing nutritious and appealing menus for our residents
  • you will be required to produce 3 meals a day including preparation for supper and home baking
  • you will also be responsible for the EHO requirements and paperwork for the kitchen
  • the home has great links within the local community, and loves to invite relatives and visitors to sample some of the excellent home cooked produce, and share this with our residents
  • food produced must be made to nutritional guidelines and you will have a working knowledge of textured foods, requirements for diabetes, fortification of foods for those who are frail etc
  • you will be responsible for the monthly budget and food ordering, to ensure a varied and healthy menu, but also to ensure that the food you prepare and serve is kept within a strict but generous budget
