Responsibility
- carry out preparation / spray painting operations to the agreed method and of a very high standard using the spray booth
- carry out refinishing and assembly of vehicles
- carry out panel beating and fabrication tasks
- carry out regular safety checks, maintain and clean equipment including changing filters as required
- operate the spray booth to ensure the correct pressure and temperature is used within manufacturer’s guidance
- make sure that all safety precautions are followed and notify management of any maintenance or safety requirements
- wear the correct PPE including gloves, eye protection and breathing apparatus when mixing and spraying
- dispose of all paint, lacquer, thinners and general waste correctly

- fabrication skills
- bodywork technician skills
- experience working with classic cars
- bodyshop refinishing and assembly experience
- experience of preparation of vehicles for paint
- experience of painting using spray booth
- panel beating skills
- knowledge of relevant COSHH requirements
