- conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately
- utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and modifications as needed
- assemble and disassemble vehicle components for repair or replacement
- maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job
- provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and repair needs
- collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
- prepare vehicles for mot and present for MOT all various makes and models of units and trailers
Requirements
- proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A valid driving licence is preferred. Preferably class 1 but not an issue if not got one can put the right candidate through this
