prepare, set up, and maintain equipment and resources for practical science lessons
assist teachers and students during practical experiments, offering technical guidance and support
ensure all laboratory equipment and chemicals are safely stored and handled
conduct regular checks on laboratory equipment and arrange for repairs and replacements as needed

assist in the preparation of materials for demonstrations and classroom activities
maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels of chemicals and equipment
collaborate with the Science Department to contribute to the development of new experiments and activities

Requirements

A degree or relevant qualification in a scientific discipline is desirable
proven experience as a Science Technician in an educational or laboratory setting is advantageous
familiarity with health and safety regulations related to laboratory practices
strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and fellow staff members
