Requirements

  • technical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or C&G Level 3, NVQ 3 & requirements for electrical installations or equivalent
  • knowledge of current electrical regulations / safety requirements
  • knowledge of drives, PLCs, control gear
  • flexible, self-motivated, works well as part of a team
  • excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a team
  • valid driving licence and ready to travel in the UK and worldwide
  • demonstrable experience of electrical design engineering

Responsibility

  • the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for
  • design of MCC Panels
  • produce I/O configuration and I/O lists, material specifications and bills of material
  • produce cable lists / sizing calculations / electrical test sheets / single line diagrams
  • design cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawings
  • writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements / CDM regulations
  • modifications to hardware and panels on site
  • electrical testing / fault finding on site
